Location, transport and connectivity in Barcelona
I’ve just landed at El Prat Airport. What is the fastest and cheapest way to get to the hotel?
The cheapest option is to take the regular bus 46 to Plaza España (it takes around 15 minutes longer than the Aerobuses) and then take the D20 bus, which will drop you right at the hotel entrance, on the opposite side of the street. Alternatively, you can take the Aerobús (A1 or A2 depending on your terminal) to Plaza Cataluña, which takes around 35 minutes; from there, it’s a 2-minute walk to Urquinaona, where you can take the L4 metro line to Barceloneta, which is also just a one-minute walk from the hotel. If you’re looking for speed and convenience, a taxi will take you directly to the hotel in around 25 minutes and costs approximately €35-45. View hotel location.
Can I get to the airport by public transport?
Yes, it’s very easy. You can take the D20 bus from in front of the hotel to Plaza España and change to the regular 46 bus to the airport. Another option is to take the L4 metro line (Barceloneta station) to Urquinaona, and from Plaza Cataluña take the Aerobús directly to both terminals. You also have Estació de França just a three-minute walk away if you prefer to take the train. View hotel location.
Does the hotel provide a shuttle service for transfers?
We do not have our own direct shuttle service, but we work with a highly trusted company that offers this service at a very affordable price and with excellent customer service. You can book it directly through the following link: Book your transfer here.
What is the best transport card option for me if I am staying some days in Barcelona, and which means of transport does it include?
For short stays with only a few journeys, the T-Casual (10 journeys, zone 1) is usually the most cost-effective option. Please note that this card is now personal and non-transferable (each passenger needs their own). If you plan to travel frequently or are arriving by plane, the Hola Barcelona Travel Card (48h, 72h, 96h or 120h) includes unlimited travel on the metro, city buses, tram, Ferrocarrils and zone 1 commuter trains, including the L9S metro line to the airport. Plan your route around Barcelona.
I’m going to Barcelona for sightseeing. Can I walk to the main attractions, or is the hotel far from the city centre?
We’re in an unbeatable location! You’ll find us just steps from Barceloneta metro station and very close to the beach, El Born and the Gothic Quarter, with its tapas bars, boutiques and iconic landmarks such as Barcelona Cathedral and the Picasso Museum, all within walking distance. We’re also very well connected and close to must-see attractions such as the Sagrada Familia, Arc de Triomf, Casa Batlló and La Pedrera. Discover the hotel location.
I’m travelling to Barcelona by car. Does the hotel have its own parking or can you recommend a safe place to park nearby?
We do not have our own parking facilities or work directly with any car park, but upon arrival at reception, we will provide you with a QR code containing all the information about a public car park located right next to our hotel. Contact us.
Arrival, departure, luggage and guest services
My flight arrives in Barcelona very early in the morning. Can I check into my room early, or at least leave my luggage at the hotel?
The official check-in time is from 3:00 pm. However, you can arrive earlier and store your luggage with us free of charge (this service is available 24 hours a day and is exclusively for guests with a valid reservation). While you wait, you can relax at our Oasis Lobby Bar or, during the warmer months, head up to our exclusive rooftop: a unique space where you can unwind, take a dip in the pool or enjoy food and drinks from our terrace bar. Contact us.
My flight leaves late at night on the day of my departure. What options do I have to enjoy my last day in Barcelona without having to carry my luggage around?
Check-out is at 11:00 am, but you can leave your luggage at our reception free of charge (until midnight) and continue exploring the city. If you prefer to keep your room, we offer a late check-out option, subject to availability and with an additional fee. This option must be requested and confirmed the day before your departure.
I’m travelling with my dog. Do you allow pets at the hotel?
Pets are not allowed at the hotel, although we do accept guide dogs and assistance dogs in accordance with current regulations. If you are travelling with one, please email us at reservas@hoteloasis.es or call us on 34 933 19 43 96 before your arrival. Contact us.
Room types and comfort
Are the rooms overlooking the street very noisy?
We are located in a central and lively area, which is why we offer both exterior-facing and interior-facing rooms. If you are sensitive to noise, we recommend our rooms facing the interior of the building, which are especially quiet. Important: Please note that the interior-facing rooms have no street views at all; they are designed for guests who prioritise a good night’s sleep. View our rooms.
We are a family with young children. Do you have family rooms, cots available or extra beds?
Our policy establishes a minimum age of 10 years, so we do not accommodate babies and do not provide cots. For families with children over this age, please note that all our rooms are double rooms (we do not have family-style rooms). View our rooms.
I’m travelling for work and need to work remotely for a few hours. Is the hotel Wi-Fi fast, and is there a good desk space in the room?
Yes, Internet access is free and works perfectly throughout the hotel. For a comfortable working environment, we recommend our Superior rooms or the Superior Single Room, which include a desk, multi-line telephone, kettle and safe. And if you prefer a change of scenery, the Oasis Lobby Bar is an open space with a relaxed atmosphere, perfect for working remotely. View rooms and amenities.
I have reduced mobility and use a wheelchair. Are the hotel and rooms 100% accessible?
Yes, we have accessible rooms for guests with reduced mobility. Please email us at reservas@hoteloasis.es or call us on 34 933 19 43 96, and we will confirm availability and provide you with all the accessibility details before you make your reservation. Contact information.
Breakfast and dining
I’d like to book accommodation with breakfast included. What type of food do you offer and what time is breakfast served?
We offer a buffet breakfast that you can add to your reservation for €18 per stay. You’ll find a varied selection to start your day with energy before heading out to discover Barcelona. Breakfast is served every day. Oasis Bar & Terrace.
I’m gluten intolerant and follow a vegan diet. Will I find suitable options at the hotel?
Of course. Our breakfast is designed for everyone to enjoy. We offer alternatives to suit different dietary needs, including gluten-free, lactose-free, vegetarian and vegan options. If you have a severe allergy, please let us know upon arrival and our kitchen team will assist you personally. Discover our bar and terrace.
Can we book half board (HB) at the hotel, or, if not, are there any good places nearby that you would recommend
We do not offer a half-board option or a set menu. However, at our pool terrace, you can enjoy both lunch and dinner, with very good-quality products at an average price. If you prefer to eat out, we are located in one of Barcelona’s best gastronomic areas (El Born and the Gothic Quarter, with their authentic tapas bars, as well as Barceloneta and its seafood cuisine). Our team will be happy to recommend the best restaurants in the area. Discover our terrace.
Payments and taxes
I’ve seen that there is a tourist tax in Barcelona. Is it included in the price shown on the website, or do I have to pay it separately upon arrival?
By law, the tourist tax (City Tax) is not included in the room rate and must be paid directly at reception upon arrival. Currently, the fee is €7.70 (VAT included) per person per night. This tax only applies to guests over 16 years of age and is charged for a maximum of 7 consecutive nights.
